Password Requirements

When you set your initial password, or change your password, you will need to create a password based on the following requirements:

• Passwords must be at least 10 characters in length (the longer, the better)
• Passwords must contain at least 3 of the following:
  • A lower case letter
  • An UPPER CASE letter
  • A digit
  • A special character, such as !@#$%^&*()

Passwords cannot contain:

• Your name or variants of names
• Your date of birth

Note that passwords must be changed at least once once a year (every 365 days). You may not reuse passwords.

We recommend that the password you use for Benedictine services be different from those used for other services. If you have trouble maintaining all of your passwords, we recommend using a password management tool such as LastPass, 1Password, Dashlane, etc. Note that these tools are usually available at a cost.
